The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded $8.7 million in Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH) funding to the state of Florida and six localities impacted by Hurricane Ian to help prevent or address homelessness.

The departments of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) recently awarded $14 million in more than 1,400 HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) vouchers to 66 public housing agencies across the country.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recently announced 2024 goals that work toward ending veteran homelessness. 

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is now accepting applications for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Second Chance Act Pay for Success Program, which can help prevent or end homelessness for people currently or formerly involved in the criminal justice system.

Earlier this month, Department of Agriculture Secretary (USDA) Tom Vilsack, vice chair of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), and USICH Senior Regional Advisor Tamara Wright met with state, local, and private-sector leaders in Arizona to learn about their challenges and solutions for urban and rural homelessness.
