HUD Expands Tribal HUD-VASH Program
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), announced an expansion of the Tribal HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (Tribal HUD-VASH) program, which serves Native American veterans who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The new Tribal HUD-VASH grants total $4.4 million and will be awarded to 28 Tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) . The funding includes $1 million in expansion grants that will help house 95 additional veterans.
The Tribal HUD-VASH program provides housing and supportive services through the combination of HUD rental assistance and VA case management and clinical services.
