FEMA Extends Coverage of COVID-19 Response Costs
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that it will financially support certain COVID-19 work performed through July 1, 2022.
That means local, state, tribal, or territorial governments and certain nonprofits will continue to be eligible for full reimbursement of their costs associated with COVID-19 response and recovery.
The list of work that's eligible for reimbursement includes:
- Non-congregate shelter;
- Emergency medical care; and
- Management, control, and reduction of immediate threats to public health and safety.
President Biden previously approved FEMA to provide 100% cost-share on these measures until April 1, 2022.
