HUD Awards $27 Million to Local HIV/AIDS Housing Programs
The Department of Housing and Urban Development ( HUD ) has invested another $27 million in local programs that secure stable housing for people living with HIV/AIDS and at risk of homelessness.
The grants come from HUD’s Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program (HOPWA) and can be used to provide a combination of housing assistance and supportive services (e.g. case management, mental health services, substance abuse services, and employment training) over a three-year period.
