HHS Awards Funding to Tackle Mental Health and Homelessness Crises

This month, the Department of Health and Human Services, through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), awarded $7.2 million in grants to help people experiencing homelessness tackle mental health crises.

The Treatment for Individuals Experiencing Homelessness Program provides comprehensive, coordinated, and evidence-based services for individuals, youth, and families with a serious mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, or co-occurring disorder who are experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness.
