FEMA Extends Coverage of COVID-19 Response Costs
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that it will financially support certain COVID-19 work through April 1, 2022.
That means local, state, tribal, or territorial governments and certain nonprofits will continue to be eligible for full reimbursement of their costs associated with COVID-19 response and recovery.
The list of work that's eligible for reimbursement includes:
- Non-congregate shelter;
- Emergency medical care; and
- Management, control, and reduction of immediate threats to public health and safety.
President Biden previously approved FEMA to provide 100% cost-share on these measures until December 31, 2021.
