Report from HHS on Medicaid and Permanent Supportive Housing for the Chronically Homeless

2011

HHS published a literature synthesis and environmental scan on ways in which Medicaid is being used for people experiencing chronic homelessness in permanent supportive housing specifically. In addition to providing an overview of why it’s important to link housing with services, there is information about how some programs and partnerships around the country have developed ways to use Medicaid-funded services in permanent supportive housing, and opportunities created through the Affordable Care Act.
