Opening Doors to Innovation: Reducing Barriers to Services

Opening Doors to Innovation: Reducing Barriers to Services

USICH and the National Coalition for Homeless on Veterans  hosted an informational webinar focused on reducing barriers to services that homeless Veterans face in transitional housing and other programs on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

Addressing these barriers can increase Veteran participation in these programs, improve permanent housing placement rates and, ultimately, further progress toward the goal of ending homelessness among Veterans by 2015.

During this webinar you'll hear clarification on the Grant and Per Diem clean and sober environment requirements, strategies some GPD providers have taken to reduce barriers, and strategies on how to implement change within your own programs.

Speakers:

Barbara Poppe, Executive Director, USICH
Baylee Crone, Vice President of Operations and Programs, NCHV
Jeffrey Quarles, National Director, Grant and Per Diem, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Eric Grumdahl, Policy Director, USICH
